Participation on a TEDxDanubia event is possible in three different ways: Open Application, Supporting Membership, Patrons’ Lodge
Open application
Once you are logged in as a registered member, you can simply fill in the form at the page of a particular event. You will receive an e-mail to confirm we have received your application. Application does not automatically mean you have a secured place at the conference (this does not apply to Supporting and Patrons’ Lodge members for whom admission is free and guaranteed if they want to come). We expect to have way more applications to our events than available places, so we will try our best to curate the audience in a way that promises the most interesting and inspiring crowd for the day. However, we do appreciate the interest of all who apply, so for those who will not be able to attend the events personally, similarly to the 2010 event, we are planning to provide a live online broadcast on selected events and will make videos of the presentations available on our website.
Applications will be curated continuously and notifications will be sent out as our team can manage the task. There is a deadline for applications, so please check the appropriate event. You can expect to be notified a couple of days after the deadline at the latest (we will then ask you to complete payment within a few days). After that point, only cancellations – or failure to complete payment – will make places available for those on the waiting list. Since we expect to have more applications than available places, we do advise you, if possible, to apply early.
You may apply in the following categories:
· Standard attendance fee: the amount may change slightly for each individual event, so please check. This provides entry to the entire day's program including food and refreshments served throughout the event.
· Discount attendance fee: the amount may change slightly for each individual event, so please check. Only a limited number of discounted registrations are made available for those in the education or non-profit worlds, who could not otherwise attend. We ask those who chose to apply for such a discounted registration to please tell us shortly what your reasons are for asking the special fee.
Supporting membership
Ticket prices for our events are kept low as compared with similar events in order to help participate those who have limited resources. We would like members of our community who can afford not to be helped to recognize the significance of this effort. Therefore, we ask those who can afford to help us and our cause to be Supporting members of our community and we seek to develop a special relationship with them. For our Supporting members we offer free and guaranteed participation for the events of our ensuing annual program. Patrons’ Lodge
We are looking to cooperate with private individuals and companies to build our cause and share the right and responsibility to form the TEDxDanubia community. We seek to develop individual relationship on these grounds and have created the concept of a Patrons’ Lodge, identified by a name of our patron’s choice, ensuring free and guaranteed participation for the events during the following year for the patron himself/herself and 4 of his/her guests.
